Haven't being doing anything interesting these few days, just watched snsd videos on snsdkorean.wordpress.com. Hahaha. I know I lead a boring life. But they entertain me when I'm bored. Also watched a lot of movies via internet. Watched 200 pound beauty 2 times, sex and the city 1 & 2 both 2 times, Mr & Mrs Smith (Old show I know, but I like!), nanny mcPhee returns. Yeah, that's all I can think of now. Don't know how I can be such a movie freak. ):
Just helped Vio sis with her social studies homework, can't believe I still can be of some help to her! That made me happy for a short while. At least my brains are still working. ^^
Anyway, borrowed some library books and I've only touched 2 out of 5 books? Don't know why I don't really like reading now. Very very sad. Nowadays, when I go into the library, I don't even know which genre I like reading. (Although I still feel very happy stepping into the library.) Hahah. Shall try reading another book tomorrow. Have to get back my love of reading books or else my English might deteriorate and it would suck.
Got to know something interesting while reading and explaining an email to my mum's friend send her. Paradoxes of the English language:
There is no egg in eggplant, nor ham in hamburger; neither apple or pine in pineapple. And while no one knows what is in a hotdog, you can be pretty sure it isn't canine. English muffins were not invented in England nor French fries in France. Sweetmeats are candies, while sweetbreads, which aren't sweet, are meat.
We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing rings are square, and guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.
If you wanna read up more you can go to this website: http://www.greaterthings.com/Humor/English_paradoxes.htm
Okay, I've really nothing to blog about now. Mundane life I lead right now.
Maybe gonna read up some nice inspiring quotes
Byebye!
